The world's benchmark variety. Bumpy skin that darkens as it ripens; buttery flesh with an intense flavour and good shelf life.

Thin, smooth green skin. Mild, delicate flavour; it doesn't change colour as it ripens, so you check it by touch.

One of the first to be picked. Thin green skin and creamy, mild flesh; ideal to open the season.
